53sonnenuntergang-m181It’s amusing. The very same people who vigorously shake their heads YES, obviously in agreement concerning white’s (white people’s) “blind eye” to racism, has that same sort of “blind eye” concerning colorism in the US along with other things. The response seems to come to an abrupt stop or somewhere around “No, let’s focus on other people” or “Black folks don‘t have issues with color”. In realizing myself, I quickly realized others around me. For the past, I’d say 8 months, I’ve seen an increasing number of “hits” for “white power”, though I can’t say I’m surprised with a black man as president and all. What comes to mind besides the obvious burning crosses and Ku Klux Klan, is black pride. Yeah, the real black pride. I don’t mean the artificial black pride that comes with trying to pretend everything black is great and that black people have no issues, because that’s just foolishness.

Some things are just too obvious to address, and when you know that, you know these people are lodged somewhere between trying to defend something they know little to nothing about or blind patriots of blackness kind of like blind patriots of America. Black pride as little to do with pretending everything is great with black people, and more to do with acknowledging the good with the bad, that’s black pride because if you don’t acknowledge it, you are just ignoring it which shows a lack of concern or an inability to address the issue at hand; it’s like knowing you are sick and not going to the doctor to figure out the problem—the problem will likely persist. It’s not going to go away simply because you say it has gone away.

I remember growing up in MS. My family never really had much but I never felt it. My parents made sure I never felt it. I had a wonderful childhood, a sheltered little black girl, who in at least my sister’s eyes, was spoiled and full of potential. I never felt wronged by the word black, in fact I felt it was something that was more or less a part of me simply because it was just as I was and not because it shouldn’t be.

My immediate family is a range of shades of brown. My father, brother, and I of a darker hue and my mother and sister of a lighter hue. Though this was the reality, in my family, the range in skin color was not discussed but our common blackness was, and it was almost always a pleasant conversation or at least one full of humor.

I can recall looking in the mirror as a young girl and admiring who I was physically and mentally. Again, I had a pretty good childhood, family always around, and again…a pretty sheltered childhood as well. Then into society and away from my family’s protective words, hugs, and kisses, things changed. An unsuspecting child that thought that every other black person more or less had the same ideas about blackness as myself. Wrong. WRONG.

Wow, did I quickly get the low down and dirty on the many divisions that exist between black people by personal experience and through others’ experiences from skin color and class to black Americans and Africans who came to America—not useful things, not productive things, but hurtful things. I don’t want to go into too much detail then this entry would be entirely too long, but Africa, which is now divided up into countries is divided because some colonialism, took place at some point, with that being said color would by virtue play some part to that exposure, just by virtue [skin bleaching, perms, etc]. In America the same sort of thing but much worse, and the same can be said for the Caribbean and for similar reasons. It use to really bother me a lot all, today in my mind, it’s just another ill of this world.

Black pride to me is the same as it was 17 years ago, black people, regardless of where they are from, who share a common blackness, though different cultures because the one thing we can not change regardless of how rich, poor, smart, the language we speak or the language we don’t speak, African, or African American–black is the color of your skin, and that’s not a bad thing–not at all. It makes me wonder when I hear black people say “She/he thinks he/she is too good, or he/she says they are mixed with Indian, well, he/she is just plain ole black like everyone else”—wtf is plain ole black or plain ole anything dealing with blackness? Is black a step down from everything else? I’m going to need people to think first, speak later. Now, I have a letter to write.

Black Models| Italia Vogue 2008

The European standard of beauty has become so much an axiom that black beauty is nearly “lost in translation” for good. I see people searching for black models and black beauty constantly on search engines and the likes and coming up short with a few they can count on one hand. That could change.

Of course, black women are beautiful on or off a magazine, on or off a catwalk, whatever and wherever. I think the problem is relying too much on main stream to get ourselves out there when we can BE main-stream.

Why is it that almost every time I see a beautiful spread in a magazine featuring a model, it’s in white mainstream media?—-Do blacks not have the same ability? Of course they do, that was a rhetorical question. It’s well known that most of the people who bought the Italian EnVogue magazine were black, and it sold well. Blacks support blacks’ period—especially in incipient business ventures. If things are done right and professionally with class etc….support will double, and maybe even come in unlikely places, because it will not be about the fact that they are black owned but that their work wreaks quality.

Here are some of the pictures from the “all-black” Italia Vogue: From Left to right (Alek Wek, Arlenis Sosa, Iman,  Karen Alexander, Naomi Campbell, Noemie Lenoir,  (2)Toccara Jones, (3) Tyra Banks,  Ubah)

Between the continent of Africa and the other majority black countries who are having similar issues of black model’s not getting work—we could ubiquitously take the world by storm because there are some undeniably beautiful black women out there; that’s veracity. Where are the black photographers and the black modeling agencies? Hiding? I am not talking about those photographers that do borderline porn; I’m talking professionals.

I know Ebony and the likes have modeling agencies and there are plenty of blacks who have their own clothing line, some not so well known but classier than those that are well known, and that is an issue–they are not put out there. If Ebony along with other more recognized black modeling agencies monopolized around the world—made this not just an African American thing but a Caribbean thing, and African thing—a black thing, I really think the potential of this is prodigious.

That gives more diversity, more exotic looks, more style, and flare. That makes the problem of not being well known obsolete and a broader audience to which one can appeal. When white, main stream starts noticing a decline in their sales, which means their avarice is not satisfied— I assure you they will take notice but by then, they will not be an issue, merely a side note.

Myth|about HIV/AIDs & |the True Origin|of Mankind

So the story, in a nutshell, bascially goes….Out of Africa..into the Middle East..into Asia, then into Europe  (Map)

Evolution A gradual process in which something changes into a different and more complex or better form. See Synonyms at development. The process of developing. Gradual development.

Perhaps evolution does exist, but perhaps its definition, especially in this case, is flawed. What, exactly, is more complex or better with seemingly unbeneficial mutations? Lighter skin, straighter hair, different color eyes, and different color hair—how are any of these things more complex or in a “better” form other than the myth of European features being aesthetically appealing more so than African features.

18th century anthropologist Christoph Meiners, who first defined the term, characterized the “Caucasian” as having the characteristics of “lightness“, “beauty” and being “handsome” with the “ancient Germans” having the “whitest, most blooming and most delicate skin” because they were the most racially pure Caucasians.

18th century anthropologist Johann Blumenbach, the second person to define the term, considered Caucasians to be the top of “racial hierarchy” he organized where,

the white color holds the first place, such as it is that most Europeans. The redness of cheeks in this variety is almost peculiar to it: at all events it is but seldom seen in the rest.” and described Caucasians as, “Color white, Cheeks rosy; hair brown or chestnut-colored; head subglobular; face oval, straight, its parts moderately defined, forehead smooth, nose narrow, slightly hooked, mouth small. The primary teeth placed perpendicularly to each jaw: the lips (especially the lower one) moderately open, the chin full and rounded.

Further definition of evolution: Change in the genetic composition of a population during successive generations, as a result of natural selection acting on the genetic variation among individuals, and resulting in the development of new species.

Of course, Europeans are not a different species, considering the fact they have the least genetic diversity which makes them much more susceptible to harmful mutations only invalidates this definition more. Moreover, all humans share more than 90% of their DNA with each other, so the genetic variation that does exist is very minute to their genetic commonality, with people of African decent having the most genetic diversity.

Natural selection is the process by which favorable heritable traits become more common in successive generations of a population of reproducing organisms, and unfavorable heritable traits become less common, due to differential reproduction of genotypes. Natural selection acts on the phenotype, or the observable characteristics of an organism, such that individuals with favorable phenotypes are more likely to survive and reproduce than those with less favorable phenotypes.

Favorable by whose standards–defiantly not mother natures.

More than this, what happened to the extinction aspect of evolution in this case, if everyone else ultimately evolved from Africans, why is the African populations not dwindling on the point of extinction? Just how much time is required, it’s been about 100,000 years. In 2007, the population of Africa was 965 million, while Europe has 731 million. Of course not everyone in Europe is of European decent and the same can be said for Africa, however, most are actually of the origin of the continents –give or take a few.

Those who try to argue about AIDS playing out the role of natural selection on the African population (which is by the way, very unintelligent) —you’d have to say that Europeans and people of other races are not able to contract the virus—and everyone knows that they are just as capable as anyone else of contracting AIDS. If they were somehow evolved, as a “better developed breed”, so to speak, they’d have immunity to this OR somehow adapted in some way. I just wanted to address the stupidity before it came.

Why would one think, and be justified in thinking, that AIDS, or HIV is a man-made disease? Two very simply reasons..maybe three–besides the ones listed on the above mentioned site.

  1. The fact that this virus has two strains in such a short amount of time, and it just sprouted up all of a sudden, out seemingly no where. Monkeys were discovered to have the virus parallel to the time it began to spread in the (African) human population. As many experiments that monkeys and apes have been subjected to since the breaking age of science, it is highly unlikely that scientist, all of sudden found out those animals had HIV–at least they would have noted a decline in the population much earlier than the time it took to spread in the human population.
  2. The way the virus works, turning the immune system against itself, is unnaturalin its entirety. There is no other disease or virus known to do this.
  3. There are occurrences of two women from China who were exposed to the HIV virus AND actually showed immunity to it.
  4. Magic Johnson is alive and well (almost 20 years) and it is pubically known that he has/had HIV/AIDs.

Fishy stuff, huh? Everyone’s life is affected and at risk by AIDS. Start asking questions, seeking information, and demandig answers—real answers. I’ve noticed how many people just take whatever the media/government feeds—much like jumping of a cliff because someone simply told you to jump”.

Survival|of Africa

I was not born anywhere on the continent of Africa, I am only of African decent, as is everyone, although I am most noticeable in appearance. I also can not claim to know all about life’s struggles and troubles in the many countries the continent embodies; I don’t think anyone can truly attest to this but the dead and suffering. I am merely a descendent of African Diaspora. What do I know? I could not possibly offer any denouement, even with careful exegesis. Besides, I am insouciant, you know….living in America born and raised here—in the land of seemingly endless opportunity. EVERYONE has tried to solve the problems of Africa, yet no one has the answer(s). The government is corrupt, they say, and it’s people are sycophant, so there is really nothing….anyone can do to alter any of this. Perhaps, some say, Africa is an anathema. In fact, very few are sanguine about the future of Africa as it stands presently, which saps overall hope  and successfully flags others. I have heard many Africans say that Americans are so blind about the world and what happens in it, not realizing that everything that goes on in the world effects them too, either directly or indirectly. I concur; it is true; there is a lot of that going on. I would, like to add another group to the list as well—able Africans themselves.

The are many Africans who love their countries, in culture and in their people, but a lot of that love is obviously conditional. Then some are appalled by the fact that their “Americanized” offspring do not know their mother tongue in a voluble manner. There should be an exact that everyone going abroad to study must contribute to their country in some way for a certain amount of time after attaining degrees and table those not willing to comply. What cause do I have to say all of this? Some will come to America and go throughout Europe to attain different degrees and avarice, which hardly goes to the advancement of their own land—mostly it goes to the advancement of America and countries of Europe. This is especially saddening for Africa. I understand there is a process to this whole thing; I am talking about people with PhDs—the highest attainable degree—- still here or somewhere else other than home, who are not at least essaying something for the betterment of Africa. There are people who are not as able as people with PhDs doing more—this is a cardinal wrong.

Then when all hell breaks loose in their countries, as it often does, they complain and grumble but do nothing to alleviate the situation. Just as someone rails about the American government, under which I live, and all the fallacies by which it is enriched, but never attempts to make a difference in whatever they are grousing about…they really are not justified to complain; the same can be said here.

Certainly, most will send money “back home” to loved ones to help sustain their families, however, how many actually go back and home and try to DO something about their beloved country’s situations? In these cases, I am not so sure that it is love for one’s country so much as it is an attempt to seem consequential. I can hear the seething of someone’s teeth as I am typing these words; the truth hurts sometimes, but only it will set you free—not excuses because honestly, there really is no excuse. What do I mean?

Think about it for a minute. Just like me, you are in the safety of carefree America or Europe, land of the free, home of the brave; both of which are basically viewed as an apotheosis. Unlike you or I however, there are many people on that vast continent of Africa that actually LIVE there, not who were just born there and are now looking out from the safe haven of the US recalling some distant memory called “home” or merely going for a little visit—a lot of these people are struggling to survive each minute of their lives from common colds and other common disease that are easily treatable, hunger, thrist, AIDS while we, yes able Africans included, are enjoying the luxury of AC and internet; this is suppose to be your allegiance.

What can one do? Anything is better than nothing in dire situations such as these. I am not, in any way suggesting these things are an easy task, hardly anything in life comes easy, but to at least attempting to make a difference, is much better than doing nothing at all; to do nothing is simply pusillanimous.  Small things amount to bigger things if done by a lot of people and consistantly. Those who are chauvinist for the good cause, people who remonstrate and get jailed, those who participate in the dirge of fallen heroes who fight for the struggle are better than those who sit silently and do nothing. Someone writing a book, starting an organization, participating in ANY way is better than someone doing nothingFunny enough, those living in carefree America are at a better position to do this than those people back in Africa because they are putting themselves constantly in harms way and risk loosing everything even when they had little to begin with—but they don’t quail and they actually do it. There are people from other countries outside of Africa doing more for Africa than some people who are more able or equally able who are African and this is Africa’s fight more so than it is anyone else’s. It’s called sacrifice and it’s called love, and real love is unconditional.  Some have tried to do zero and claim nothing can be done; this is a sign of hopelessness at its worse. Keep waiting on the world; you’ll be there for a while. To all the people who do contribute other than sending bundles of money home every now and then for family, I truly admire you. It is only logically meet, that the only people who are truly going to save Africa is Africans, not the world.

For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it

Proverbs 8:11

People of African decent and European decent are more closely related, genetically, than any other people are to  Africans. One has to wonder, why or how? I mean, we seem to be each other’s total opposite physically. As black people, or people of color,  many blacks and the rest of the world have been systemically led to believe that black is somehow inferior to white. Many believe that the curse of Ham, mentioned in the Bible, is the dark skin of black people. Due to scientific evidence, however, this is far from the truth. We have just recently started hearing that Africa is the cradle of mankind, but have we understood the underlying implications of this? I would recommend anyone read   The Chemical Key to Black Greatness” by American Biochemist, Carol Barnes. The truth is, Caucasians are basically mutations of blacks. It has been scientifically proven, but quite obviously and purposely left out of science books in schools or merely passed off as evolutionary processes. We all know what it means to be albino; keep this in mind while you are reading the rest of this blog.

Here are some facts (check them, if you are having a hard time believing any of this, and even if you do believe it, check it anyway):

  • Melanin is a brownish black pigment (coloring) naturally found in the skin of people of color to produce Vitamin D by means of sunlight and it is needed to help sustain life (I’ll get to this later). Vitamin D is essential for promoting calcium absorption in the gut and maintaining adequate serum calcium and phosphate concentrations to enable normal mineralization of bone and prevent hypocalcemic tetany. The word melanin is from a  Greek word “melas”=black.
  • The skin is supposed to convert sunlight to Vitamin D because of 7-Dehydrocholesterol and it serves as protection by nature against harmful UV sunlight  by converting sunlight to vitamin D; black people have this ability because of the melanin naturally found in their skin. I say supposed to because there are very few foods that vitamin D is naturally found in, and this is a strong indication that melanin is suppose to be present in the skin for adequate vitamin D in all humans.
  • White people lack sufficient amounts of melanin, and this is the reason they have white skin in the first place (like albino people lack pigmentation). Why is melanin not naturally found in white people’s skin ?

AnswerWhites have a higher concentration of enzyme inhibitors(blockers) that suppress melanin production. In addition, white people have a much higher occurance of calcified (harden) pineal glands. Why does this matter? The pineal gland secretes melatonin, which activates the pituitary to release M.S.H. Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone; since the pineal glands are calcified, normal amounts of melanin is not produced or secreted. In genetics, this is called a mutation and mutations are abnormal (like albinism)

  • If melanin is needed to convert sunlight into vitamin D and white people do not possess this melanin component, at least not in sufficient amounts, how do white people get essential vitamin D?

Answer: They get it mostly from their bones, fish, or dietary supplements. In fact, white people have the lowest bone density of all people in the world.  Since the skin is supposed to convert sunlight to Vitamin D because of 7-Dehydrocholesterol by means of melanin, and white people lack this component, the body compensates by depleting calcium from their bones; depletion of bone mass is responsible for their low bone density. Since this is not true of black people, black people typically have the strongest bones.

Why does all this matter?

Black skin is normal, not only is it normal, but it is the template for all other people.  I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes but white skin is a mutation from black skin. The lighter the skin, the less melanin present; the darker the skin, the more melanin present.  Mutation is defined as: a change of the DNA sequence within a gene or chromosome of an organism resulting in the creation of a  trait not found in the parental (orginal) type or lack of trait in mutant that is found in the parental (orginal) type. Melatonin is directly related to fertilitydark complexion around the nipples and genital area of all people, especially blacks is common. Melanin is present at the inception of life— a melanin sheath covers any sperm and any egg. During pregnancy, the nipples, face, and abdominal wall become darkened.  These areas of increased pigmentation during pregnancy are due to the increase in the production of estrogens

  • This could be a contributing factor as to why white people have the lowest birthrates of all people; their melanin deficiency is why their reproduction systems does not work as efficiently as others.
  • Blue eyes, also, are simply eyes that lack melanin.  Blue eyes are more sensitive to sunlight and do not process light or produce sight as efficiently as brown eyes.
  • White gene DNA cannot be traced back as far as their genetic parents, black Africans, because they (whites) are mutations of the parental black African.
  • All phenotypes (physical appearances) exist within the black family. Asian people are only the semi-recessive descendants of their ancestors who were a black African tribe with slanted eyes.

This is in no way an impression upon anyone’s intelligence as James Waton “proclaimed. We all have the same chemical and physical make-up of brains, so unless someone, on an indivdual level, is just mentally challenged, we all possess the same mental capabilities.  The question remains, though, in a “white is right” world, why are blacks and the rest of the world striving to be more mutant physically?… Skin bleching, blue contacts, etc. See  (Unspoken “Rules”|Color Complex and Mental|Black|Bondage)

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy childrenHosea 4:6

Research it.

Supposedly, this guy named Willie Lynch from the West Indies, during the most prevalent time of black slavery gave this speech about controlling slaves in America. There is no historical proof that this guy or his speech ever existed. It is known as  “The Willie Lynch Theory”, but there is also no proof of it having not existed; here are some excerpts:
” I am here to help you solve some of your problems with slaves. Your invitation reached me on my modest plantation in the West Indies, where I have experimented with some of the newest and still the oldest methods for control of slaves.”

” While Rome used cords of wood as crosses for standing human bodies along its highways in great numbers, you are here using the tree and the rope on occasions. I caught the whiff of a dead slave hanging from a tree, a couple miles back. You are not only losing valuable stock by hangings, you are having uprisings, slaves are running away, your crops are sometimes left in the fields too long for maximum profit, You suffer occasional fires, your animals are killed. “

“On top of my list is “AGE” but it’s there only because it starts with an “A.” The second is “COLOR” or shade, there is INTELLIGENCE, SIZE, SEX, SIZES OF PLANTATIONS, STATUS on plantations, ATTITUDE of owners, whether the slaves live in the valley, on a hill, East, West, North, South, have fine hair, course hair, or is tall or short. Now that you have a list of differences, I shall give you a outline of action, but before that, I shall assure you that DISTRUST IS STRONGER THAN TRUST AND ENVY STRONGER THAN ADULATION, RESPECT OR ADMIRATION. The Black slaves after receiving this indoctrination shall carry on and will become self refueling and self generating for HUNDREDS of years, maybe THOUSANDS.”

“You must use the DARK skin slaves vs. the LIGHT skin slaves, and the LIGHT skin slaves vs. the DARK skin slaves. “

“But it is NECESSARY THAT YOUR SLAVES TRUST AND DEPEND ON US. THEY MUST LOVE, RESPECT AND TRUST ONLY US. Gentlemen, these kits are your keys to control. Use them. Have your wives and children use them, never miss an opportunity. IF USED INTENSELY FOR ONE YEAR, THE SLAVES THEMSELVES WILL REMAIN PERPETUALLY DISTRUSTFUL. Thank you gentlemen”.

Mostly, it is seen as a modern fabrication, with no proof and seeing how some people like irony to a large degree, it could defiantly be something of out imagination—but either way—on the contextual basis—- the truth behind this is haunting. In fact a lot of black people all around the world have struggled with these issues for a long time and continue to have similar issues even today. If you know the history of Rwanda, the same methods were implemented and successfully caused two of basically the same people to turn against each other because of minor physical differences. Africa, in general, struggles with this as well, the Caribbean, black Americans also…with the “color complex” (another blog), skin whitening creams, light is better than dark skin mentality, “good hair, bad hair”, relaxers and perms. It’s still very prevalent in black countries and where black people exist all over this world. Even Ethiopia, which is the one, single African country never colonized, but has had white/other encounters, faces similar issues with skin color, hair texture, etc. A lot of this also has to do with the catholic, white standard of beauty, but nevertheless, it’s a form of self hate and mental bondage.
